Dahi Vada Mix

Lentil "Vada" deep fried & soaked in yogurt. Topped with tamarind sauce & garnished with popular Indian spices.

Direction of Use

  • Mix 200gm. Shreeji Dahi Vada Mix in 250-275 ml. (2½-3 cup) water. Stir to form smooth batter & set aside for 10-15 minutes. Add chopped ginger & green chillies to the batter.
  • Heat 500 ml. of oil in kadhai, oil temperature should be such that a little piece of mix on dropping rises quickly to the surface. Make vadas as per required shape and size. Fry the Vadas on medium heat till become crispy and golden brown.
  • Soak Vadas in luke warm water for 10 minutes. Gently press each vada to drain off excess water.
  • Immersed squeezed vada in beaten curd. Garnish Vadas with sweet or green chutney, salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds (Jeera), green coriander leaves, & curd. Serve cold.
