Jalebi Mix

Traditional, crispy, juice, saffron hued Indian sweet made from fermented batter of wheat flour & lentil. The batter is extruded in pretzel like shape, deep-fried and dipped in sugar syrup for few seconds. Jalebies are traditionally enjoyed in India as breakfast with glass of milk.

Direction of Use

  • Mix 200g Shreeji Jalebi Mix in 200ml (2 cup) water and stir to form a smooth batter. Pour into batter in Jalebi maker or in thick cloth with small hole.
  • Heat 250g vanaspati or pure ghee in flat shallow pan. Hold the Jalebi Maker or thick cloth just above the surface of the oil squeeze to make 3 circles with the batter starting from the center and sealing the end in last round.
  • Deep fry on medium flame till it become crisp and golden. After it immersed the Jalebis in warm sugar syrup for 1 minute.

PREPARATION OF SUGAR SYRUP

Dissolve 300g sugar (3 cups) in 250ml (2½ cup) water and boil it for 5-6 min to prepare the syrup.

TIP :
For better results add saffron in syrup.
Serve hot Jalebis with Rabdi or Curd.
