Khaman Dhokla Mix

A specialty of western India, state of Gujarat. Khaman Dhokla is a popular traditional snack made from fermented chick pea batter.

Direction of Use

  • Take required water in cooker place the steel ring of 2 inch high at the bottom of cooker and heat on the high flame.
  • Mix 200g. Shreeji Khaman mix in 250 to 270 ml (2½ cup) and 10ml (1 tea spoon) oil and Stir to form smooth batter.
  • Grease inner surface of aluminum pot with oil and pore the paste, Put it back in the pressure cooker, close the lid with our the weight (whistle) and let the steam out.
  • After 15-20 minutes, take away the cooker from the burner, cools for 10 minutes and cut according to your desired pieces.

Heat 3 table spoon oil, add 1 table spoon mustard seeds, green chillies and green curry leaves and fry it. Mix 2 table spoon of sugar and 100 ml (1 cup) of water and boil it and spray it evenly over Khaman Dhokla. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut & serve with green chutney.
