Vada Mix

Savory fried doughnut – like snack made from fermented Urad lentil dough.

Direction of Use

  • Mix 200gm. Shreeji Vada Mix in 180-200 ml. approx (2 cup) water. Stir to form smooth batter & set aside for 10-12 minutes.

TIP: Add finely chopped green chillies or ginger, black pepper powder and curry leaves to the batter.

  • Heat 500 ml. of oil in kadhai, oil temperature should be such that a little piece of mix on dropping rises quickly to the surface.
  • Flatten a small quantity of batter on a strip of wet cotton cloth or your wet palm and make a hole in the centre.  Fry the Vadas on medium heat till it become golden brown.
  • Serve hot Vadas with Sambhar, coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
